RELIEVERS: Transitions in BOS, OAK, TAM, CIN, COL pens

This week we return to teams with recent changes in usage or will soon have changes--BOS, OAK, TAM, CIN and COL. We start this week in Boston where the Red Sox have endured some scuffling by the back end of the bullpen, particularly Matt Barnes (RHP, BOS) and Marcus Walden (RHP, BOS) and have announced the intention of using Nathan Eovaldi (RHP, BOS) as the closer sometime in July after a rehab assignment.

Of late, it has been Brandon Workman (RHP, BOS) with two saves on June 2 and June 25, Barnes with one on June 6, Ryan Brasier (RHP, BOS) with one on June 18 and Josh Smith (RHP, BOS) with one on June 13 before getting sent back to the minors on June 25. Meanwhile, the Red Sox pen has a 4.92 composite ERA in June with eight blown...
