The Angels’ Kole Calhoun (OF, LAA) is an intriguing player for fantasy owners. He seems to be a quality offensive producer with a decent future ahead, but his indicators, build and age profile suggest there might be more downside than upside.

Calhoun is an Arizona kid who played two years in juco and two more for Arizona State in the Pac-12. As a senior at ASU, he raked pretty impressively, rolling up a 1.094 OPS that was fourth-best in the league and 251 points above league average. He blasted 17 HR and drove in 59 in 224 AB, and showed excellent plate discipline, with a 22% walk rate.
