  • Lineup note of interest: Lawrence Butler has taken over leadoff since July 13. 

Through the first 96 games, Oakland averaged 3.82 runs per contest, and its leadoff batters combined for 28th in the majors with a 29.6 on-base percentage. On July 13, Butler returned to leadoff for the first time since May 1 and has not looked back.
