MINORS: Ranking the prospects from 2018 trade season

The MLB non-waiver trade deadline has come and gone. This year, there was a lot of activity but not as many prospects switching teams like in years past. A big trade got it all started: Baltimore traded their lone superstar and impending free agent, Manny Machado, to the Dodgers for five prospects during the All-Star break. The biggest trade at the deadline was the Rays sending Chris Archer to the Pirates for Austin Meadows and Tyler Glasnow, both no longer prospect-eligible.
In between, a bevy of moves were completed. However, more non-prospects and international money slots changed hands compared to years past, making the depth of this year’s list lighter than usual. Still, there is some quality at the top, including newly-acquired...
