When asked to recreate my First-year player draft potential rating bucket article from 2019, I said yes with no clue how I would fill it with content. Last year, I did a lot of describing processes and what scouting buckets were all about. Then, I put players in potential rating buckets, wrote a few words, submitted the piece for publishing and moved on. I revisited the piece for the first time as I started this one and instantly hated that I put Adley Rutschman in a 9B bucket and not a 9C bucket. Not because my evaluation or opinion changed on Rutschman. I should have discounted his rating a bit more for catcher risk in his profile. My bad.
