Scouting prospects in a specific geographical region has advantages and challenges. For starters, the travel isn't terrible and the relationship building is much easier since you see the same people year in and year out. It also provides for challenges. When one of your home leagues is short on high-end talent, you must scrape by on coverage. This is how coverage in the Southern League has gone this season.
