MINORS: The Eyes have it—Phil Bickford; Augusta Green Jackets

The first week of the minor league season never goes according to script. In seven years of covering prospects, something always gives, making the first scouting article difficult to predict. This year, covering the South Atlantic League opening series in Rome, the script was destroyed. Due to a minor injury sidelining Giants prospect Lucius Fox Friday night, I only had an abbreviated look at the Bahamian shortstop (see below). Phil Bickford was the next best prospect I scouted.
