MINORS: The eyes have it—2015 spring training

Ah, yes, live baseball again.

Got my first chance to see live baseball in just over four months on a quick trip to Phoenix on the front end of our First Pitch Forums West Coast tour last week. It was, in fact, my first-ever spring training experience, and I was especially focused on the young players and prospects that were sprinkled through the two games I saw—White Sox/Rangers on March 11 and Reds/Dodgers on March 13.

Though the normal caveats of small sample size applies (just a couple innings pitched or a mere couple of game at-bats each), there is some value in reporting observations in from this setting, especially since some of the minor-leaguers, at least at this early date, are competing against veteran and established...
