MINORS: 2016 Top second base prospects

This week we continue our annual review of the top prospects in baseball by position. Between now and Opening Day, we'll examine one position a week by looking at both those rookies ready to contribute in the big leagues now, as well as the top 15 long-term prospects at each position.

This position has never historically been one full of the top prospects in the game. This year is no different—only two 2B (Yoán Moncada and José Peraza) appeared in the HQ100and were the only ones to garner votes. Many major league 2B land at that position from other positions, most notably SS. This often doesn't take place until they get to the minors.
