In most cases, one shouldn't read too much into how a player performs in the AFL. Historically, the league has been stocked with top-flight position prospects but quality pitching in the AFL is rare as thunderstorm in Phoenix. Thus, stats have always favored the hitters, and this year was no exception. Still, every year a handful of players have seasons, either good or bad, that impact their prospect status.
