The Twins have recalled the 24-year-old from Triple-A and he’ll take the rotation slot of the injured Tommy Milone. Duffey has seen his prospect stock rise the past two years as he’s increased his velocity and improved his already solid control and command. His fastball now sits between 90-94 mph and it touches 95, but it also has exhibited much more late tumbling action. He gets a ton of groundballs and has only allowed 1 HR in 2015—he gave up 17 HR in 2014. Duffey is a big, durable and physical pitcher who commands the plate with all three pitches. While...
