Buddy Boshers (LHP, LAA)
Boshers, 25, is being called up to help the Angels in a middle relief role. He'll replace Howie Kendrick (2B, LAA) on the roster. Kendrick was placed on the 15-day DL. Boshers was drafted by LAA as a starter in 2008, and moved to the bullpen in '10. He's had mixed results so far. After a rocky 2011 (4.30 ERA, 4.9 Ctl), he has put up solid numbers the past two seasons. The 6'3" lefty throws a 92-93 mph fastball and a decent slider. Despite Bosher's lack of elite velocity or a plus pitch, he has maintained good Dom rates, limited home runs well, and induced lots of ground balls by working down in the zone...
