Simon Castro (RHP, COL)
The 27-year-old returns to the majors for the first time since 2013 when he was in the White Sox organization. Castro is expected to pitch in the middle innings for the time being. He signed with the Rockies (his third organization) in 2014, but missed the season due to injury. He was mostly a starter in the Padres and White Sox systems, but was converted to a reliever in 2013. Castro has an intimidating 6’5”, 235-pound frame and he pitches aggressively with his 90-95 mph fastball. He generates a high number of ground balls as he pitches downhill, though...
