Ranger Suárez is lowering the sinker usage

In Ranger Suárez's peak season, he relied on the sinker 45.5% of the time in 2021. With the luck factors in his favor (26% H% and 88% S%), the ratios regressed to a 3.65 ERA (3.87 xERA) and 1.33 WHIP in 2022. Suárez has posted similar numbers in 2023, and there's a noticeable arsenal change. 

After using the sinker over 40% of the time the past two seasons, Suárez dropped the usage to 29.1%, with a more even distribution to the curveball, plus three other pitches used over 11% of the time. He threw the sinker less often to both sides of the plate but mainly against right-handed hitters, as seen in the visual below.
