There is no hotter pair of players in the division than Jonathan Schoop (2B, DET) and Akil Baddoo (OF, DET). Over the past month Schoop (pictured above) has slashed .377/.442/.783 in 106 AB, pushing his year-to-date OPS over .800 for his best since his 2017 All-Star team season. (All stats through games of June 23.) Hard-hit line drives have fueled this recent surge, and while most of his 2021 damage has come against LH pitching (1.030 OPS in 70 AB), he also gets credit for a career-best 7% bb% and 79% ct% against RH pitching this season.
