Each year we help you identify the key players to help you win your Strat-O-Matic league. Remember, this format uses the previous year’s statistics, which you act as General Manager to build a team you can then manage each game to determine pinch hitters, relievers, stealing, bunting, etc.
Game Design Basics
Strat-O-Matic began as a cards and dice game. Results were obtained by six-sided dice. The white die told you which column of the hitter’s or pitcher’s card, then the sum of the colored dice determined a specific result. Calculating frequency chances, which now are replicated and expanded on a computer game, were key to your success.
