Brandon Guyer (OF, TAM)
Though he isn’t expected to be in the majors but for a few days, the 26-year-old still has the profile and projection of a solid starting outfielder. Guyer was acquired from the Cubs in January ’11 and earned 41 AB with the Rays last season. He’s a well-rounded player who just needs an opportunity to let his talent shine. He can be aggressive at the plate, but he makes contact and owns moderate power to all fields. His fluid, quick swing is the method for consistently producing a high BA. Guyer has a tendency to swing at bad pitches early in the count as he doesn’t judge the strike zone well, but he shortens his swing when needed. He possesses above average speed and can play all outfield positions...
