After placing 2B Kolten Wong on the disabled list, the Cardinals turned to DeJong to pick up the slack. The 23-year-old was a fourth-round pick in 2015 and played mostly 3B up until this season. He played SS in the Arizona Fall League and looked like a natural with smooth actions and a strong arm. While he has spent the bulk of 2017 at that position, he should see time at both 2B and 3B during Wong’s absence.
