The Royals recalled the 24-year-old from Double-A after placing Wade Davis on the disabled list. Strahm has undergone transition in his young career. He was used as a reliever upon being selected in the 21st round of the 2012 draft, but then missed all of 2013 and most of 2014 after Tommy John surgery. The Royals moved him back to the rotation in the second half of 2015, where he was quite dominant in High-A. Strahm recently was moved back to the bullpen in mid-July 2016.
