Anthony Gose (OF, TOR)
The Blue Jays recalled the 21-year-old from Triple-A to replace José Bautista on the active roster. Gose is expected to play nearly every day. The left-handed hitter was acquired from the Phillies in ’10 and has rapidly improved in all facets of the game. Once only known as a speedy defensive player, his offensive game has blossomed, though it still has a ways to go. Gose is athletic and thin and among the fastest prospects in baseball. He stole 70 bases in ’11, but is well off that pace in ’12. Regardless, his wheels give him well above average range in CF where he also possesses a very strong arm and terrific instincts.
