The 21-year-old Alex Verdugo was called up for the second game of Saturday’s Dodgers vs. Giants doubleheader to fill in for the dinged up Matt Kemp and Yasiel Puig. Verdugo is the Dodgers' top position player and has above-average tools across the board. He uses a short, compact lefty stroke and has plus contact ability and strike zone judgment, posting a 1.04 Eye in 433 AB for Triple-A Oklahoma City in 2017.
