Buehler, a first-round selection out of Vanderbilt in 2015, is a high-octane prospect with frontline potential, but not without a fair amount of risk on the profile. While he’s not rail thin at 6’2” and 175 pounds, he’s still slight of stature, and has yet to surpass 102 innings in a season, including college. He also underwent Tommy John surgery shortly after signing, so there are some valid, long-term concerns about his ability to hold up under doubling his current season IP max.
