SPECULATOR: Opening Weekend musings

Didn't it feel good to suspend reality for four days, sit back, and watch some baseball this weekend?

Despite the backdrop of a pandemic—and some all-too-real reminders that it could wreak havoc on this 60-game sprint—it felt "normal" to watch games that count while obsessively refreshing those live league standings (I can't help myself).

This week, we'll focus on some speculative takeaways that I caught this weekend. Normally, there's not much we can glean over a three-game set, but in a 60-game season—we're already over 5% done—acting quickly on early impulses could pay major dividends. This is not the year to "exercise excruciating patience."
