There's something I need to get off my chest. I have been keeping this under wraps for a few years now, and the burden has gotten overwhelming. Now that our old boss has moved on, I think it's finally safe to say this publicly:

To be fair, it's not that I find anything about Mayberry to be objectionable. The concepts behind it are all sound. The construct of embracing the imprecision of our projections systems and instead relying on broad-brush assessments of player skills—that's all fine with me.
