GM's OFFICE: PQS, Matchup Scores, and disaster avoidance

If you own Félix Hernández in any format, you undoubtedly winced at the line from his outing in Houston last Friday night:

That's a disaster in every sense and across all formats. But in terms of impact, there is some variance:

  • In full-season leagues, that's a substantial hit to your ratios. But you also have the rest of the year to work off that damage; in fact Felix started the repair work with eight shutout innings in his subsequent start.
