The concept has been baked into our season-long fantasy brain from that first time we were handed that fictional $100 (or $1000, as some leagues have now adopted). This Free Agent Acquisition Budget (FAAB) is of utmost importance in terms of improving your team during the season. Unlike dealing with another team (not to mention a personality) in trade talks, FAAB management is the something you can exert control over. Thus, picking up the right in-season reinforcements has been understood as a pivotal key to success.
