DR. HQ: Preseason Report: Third basemen

Evan Longoria (3B, TB)
The Injury:
Injured nerve – left foot
The Outlook: He underwent surgery last winter to have a nerve problem corrected in his left foot.
What to Watch this Spring: The foot and bruise hand situations should be non-issues.
Draft Risk Factor: None

Adrián Béltre (3B, TEX)
The Injury: Strained left hamstring last July
The Outlook: Beltre has had leg and wrist issues in the past. Last year a nagging pulled left hamstring prevented him from having a monster season. He worked on flexibility and strengthening his legs over the offseason.
What to Watch this Spring: So far this spring he looks healthy with no signs of leg problems.
Draft Risk Factor: Low, because he may be more susceptible to leg injuries.
