No, this is not an update—Sanchez’s finger issue has resurfaced. At this point, it may take an extended stay to allow his finger to heal completely. Recall Josh Beckett missing 80 days in 2003 with blister problems, and you’ll see how this can become a serious problem. We’ll assume here that he does get extra time and faces no setbacks, but the range of possibilities here is quite large.
2017 Impact: Potential for significant time missed. High risk.
