After posting a .316 BA over the season's first half, rookie Yasmany Tomás (3B, ARI) has seen his production fade in recent weeks, and it's starting to cost him playing time. Tomas has started less than half of Arizona's games this month, which is a trend that could hold if Tomas' struggles continue. He's hitting .264 since July 1, but the bigger concern is a collapse in plate skills over that time (3% bb%, 61% ct% in 108 AB). Tomas also hasn't shown much power this season (87 xPX, 23% FB%) either, so while there's still long-term upside in his bat, he's certainly a work in progress at this point.
