PT TOMORROW: NL West—Peralta powers up in the desert

Typically known more for his batting average and on-base skills, 30-year-old David Peralta (OF, ARI) has cranked up the power in 2018, setting a career high with 25 HR, 127 xPX, and 139 HctX through his first 114 games (447 AB). Even with the added power, his above-average plate skills (8% bb%, 78% ct%) are essentially in line with his career numbers. He still hits the ball on the ground (50% GB%) with regularity, and his current hr/f (23%) is well above his career rate (15%), but Peralta should continue to provide plenty of production down the stretch while hitting near the top of the Diamondbacks order.
