With the Dodgers having solidified their infield, it looks like they may be content to go into the season with a mix-and-match approach at the corner OF positions. Yasiel Puig (OF, LA) figures to play a significant role in RF, especially considering the Dodgers’ MLB-worst performance (.213 BA, .275 wOBA) against LHP in 2016. Puig seemed to turn a corner both in the clubhouse and on the field after his August demotion—batting .300 (.292 xBA) with 4 HR, 10 Runs and 11 RBI (105 BPV) across just 50 September AB—which should be enough, given his immense upside, to grant him a rather long leash to start the season.
