The more things change, the more things stay the same when it comes to Archie Bradley (RHP, ARI) and the closer’s role. For the second straight year, Bradley has been passed up for the gig in favor of a newcomer—this time, free agent acquisition Greg Holland (RHP, ARI).

Holland has had, to put it mildly, a rough spring. He’s allowed 8 baserunners and 5 ER with a 4/1 K/BB ratio in 4.7 IP, all while operating in the 90 mph range—after hovering around 93 mph in previous seasons. Holland had a brutal first half last year with STL, but finished with a strong two months (2 ER in 21.3 IP, 25/10 K/BB) as a member of the Nationals, even if that success came with a 19% H% and 97% S%.
