Bryce Harper (OF, WAS) had lots of people holding their collective breath after he suffered a knee injury in the team’s August 12 game against the Giants. There was a big sigh of relief on August 13 as it was announced that he had a bone bruise in his left knee and no ligament or tendon damage. It was officially listed as a hyperextended left knee. As of now, there is no timetable for return, but the team will no doubt take an extremely cautious approach with its superstar—a luxury afforded to them by a massive lead in the NL East.
