Entering the 2019 season, he has no clear path to playing time with Jesús Aguilar (1B, MIL) manning first base and a star-studded outfield of Christain Yelich (OF, MIL), Lorenzo Cain (OF, MIL), and Ryan Braun (OF, MIL). However, the Brewers have found creative ways to fit their best bats into the lineup regularly, and Thames fits that description.
