Although it was tied for the seventh-best ERA among all starting rotations in MLB at the All-Star break, the Brewers starting staff could soon receive a shake-up. If the struggles of Zach Davies (RHP, MIL)—which were covered by Brian Rudd in Facts/Flukes on July 14—continue, a demotion to Triple-A to figure out his issues is not out of the question. Fellow starter Junior Guerra (RHP, MIL) has struggled greatly this year after bursting onto the scene with a 2.81 ERA over 20 starts during 2016. Guerra has a 4.77 ERA and 1.50 WHIP, his 2.5 hr/9 is the third-worst among starters with at least 50 IP, and his 5.71 xERA and 1.3 Cmd indicates things could get even worse.
