There’s no doubt Ryan Braun (1B/OF, MIL) is on the back-end of his career. Entering his age-36 season, he’s beginning the final guaranteed season of a five-year, $105 million contract, and has publicly admitted he could retire at the conclusion of the campaign. With the addition of Avisaíl García (OF, MIL), the team has announced Braun will shift into a platoon role at first base with newcomer Justin Smoak (1B, MIL).
