The Brewers needed to upgrade their lineup and made one small step in doing so by acquiring Carlos Santana (1B, MIL) from the Pirates last week. The next interesting question will be how the team handles the opposite corner of the infield. Andruw Monasterio (2B/3B, MIL) has taken over as the team’s primary starter at third base of late. He’s performed admirably across the first 119 plate appearances of his big-league career, showing a strong combined ability to make contact (76 ct%) and get on base (12 BB%, .378 OBA), but like many Brewers hitters there’s seemingly not much upside from a numbers or scouting perspective.
