Coming off an eye-opening Winter ball league performance in the Dominican (.973 OPS, 5 HR, 17 BB over 131 AB), Guzmán has continued his torrid hitting in Cactus League play, going 5-for-12 with 2 HR and 3 BB early. His mediocre 19-for-78 (4 HR) 2020 performance showed zero improvement on a career .230 BA with stagnant power that had seemingly forced the Rangers' hand.
