Behind aces Justin Verlander and Gerritt Cole, the rotation suddenly looks like more of a work-in-progress than it has in years. To date, the void left by Collin McHugh's move to the pen—and Corbin Martin's (RHP, HOU) unsuccessful MLB debut—has been filled by inconsistent bullpen game efforts. And now following a tough June—6.34 ERA over five starts—Brad Peacock (RHP, HOU) has been IL'd with shoulder inflammation. Even if Wade Miley continues to perform well beyond his peripherals, the club now has two rotation spots that could be up in the air in the 2H.
