But this isn't so much because the 2014 HR-or-nothing approach augmented via off-season acquisitions suddenly works, as some analysts have hinted. Between the new faces and many years of minor league development that are beginning to bear fruit, the Astros suddenly have more positional depth and versatility than any AL West team, which thus far has prevented the lineup from struggling for too long.
