Following up on Playing Time Today columnist Matt Dodge’s May 30 note, Rubby De La Rosa (RHP, BOS) got the nod to step into the rotation slot of Clay Buchholz (RHP, BOS) and impressed in a win over the Tampa Bay Rays with seven scoreless innings (4 H, 0 BB, 8 K).

Meanwhile, Brandon Workman (RHP, BOS) has given the team a pair of, well, workman-like PQS-3 outings filling in for Felix Doubront (LHP, BOS).

Not to be outdone, down at AAA-Pawtucket May 30, Allen Webster (RHP, BOS) to took a shutout into the seventh inning before giving up a two-out solo homer. His line for the night: 8 IP, 1 ER, 3 H, 1 BB, 7 K.
