Over the recent weeks, Hansel Robles (RHP, MIN) and Taylor Rogers (LHP, MIN) have been sharing the closer duties, as manager Rocco Baldelli plays the matchups and evens the workloads. Both co-closers have five saves to date (all stats through June 9), while Robles has a few more appearances and ten holds compared to Rogers’s six holds. 

Rogers (pictured above) has the better overall skills, with a strong 32% K% and the lowest walk rate on the Twins’ staff. His 2.65 xERA also leads the staff by more than a full run, so if/when circumstances dictate consolidating to a primary closer, Rogers would likely be the one, although his .267 BA against RH batters is a little worrisome. Robles is walking more batters in 2021 (15%...
