One of the few pitching bright spots for the Royals this season, Brad Keller (RHP, KC) has been shut down with arm fatigue and will miss the rest of the season as the Royals divvy up the remaining 2019 starts and take stock of their potential rotation entering 2020. Both Brad Skoglund (LHP, KC) and Jorge López (RHP, KC) should be the immediate beneficiaries, but with rosters expanding on September 1, it’s conceivable that Heath Fillmyer (RHP, KC) might get recalled and have another opportunity to show he belongs.
