NL West: Josh Bell continues hot streak after trade to ARI

When 1B Josh Bell was acquired from the Marlins at the trade deadline, he was viewed primarily as just a replacement for injured 1B Christian Walker, who hit the IL with a strained left oblique on July 30. The Diamondbacks have not missed a beat with Bell at 1B. He has hit .304/.360/.674 with 3 2B, 4 HR, 8 RBI, and 9 R in 50 PA, helping the Diamondbacks to a 9-2 record since he joined the starting lineup. While Walker is finally symptom-free and has started hitting off a tee, a timeline for his return is not clear. Bell should be penciled into the lineup at 1B and serve as the cleanup hitter for at least the next couple of weeks.
