DIVISIONAL OUTLOOK—AL East: TOR rotation takes another hit

Just as the Blue Jays were getting ready to welcome back Josh Johnson (RHP, TOR), they lost another, Brandon Morrow (RHP, TOR), who was placed on the disabled list with a forearm strain.

The team is again needing to scramble to round out their rotation behind Johnson, R.A. Dickey (RHP, TOR) and Mark Buehrle (LHP, TOR).

Ramon Ortiz (RHP, TOR), a pitcher designated for assignment less than a week earlier, got the start for the Blue Jays on June 2. Refer back to previous admonitions to steer clear.

Esmil Rogers (RHP, TOR), who threw 3.1 scoreless IP in a May 29 start and is beginning to get stretched out, appears to be the next in line. Rogers has seemingly made strides in reigning in his control, but his strikeout rate...
