Nolan Arenado (3B, COL) was forced to leave the September 4 game in the fourth inning due to a right thumb bruise, something he indicated has been bothering him for about a month. He entered the weekend listed as day-to-day, so doesn't expect to be out of the lineup for any length of time. However, the Rockies are all too familiar with injured digits, as Carlos Gonzalez (OF, COL) is still battling his way back from a sprained finger. When healthy, Arenado is the unquestioned starter, as the organization certainly wants to give him as many at-bats as they can to finish up his rookie season.
