DIVISIONAL OUTLOOK: AL East—Could Bogaerts be this year's Machado?

What will the left side of the Red Sox infield look like for the season's final two months? That’s one of the pressing questions as the Sox endured a bit of a scoring slump in late July. One cause has been the cooling of José Iglesias (3B, BOS). Entering play July 28, Iglesias was 4 for his last 39 (.103), with his last extra-base hit coming on July 4. Iglesias has also only drawn two walks since June 21.

Meanwhile, Stephen Drew (SS, BOS) had been struggling since his July 20 return for the disabled list but busted out in a big way July 27, with a 2-HR, 3-for-4, 5-RBI performance. Any changes are likely to come at 3B, so long as Drew can stay healthy.
