AL West: Abreu on the edge in HOU?

The club has been surprisingly awful early on with a 7-17 record, the AL's second-worst next to only the Chicago White Sox, and has been the lead story in this division's PT space more often than normal, for multiple reasons. A slew of rotation injuries and horrendous output from the back of the bullpen have thus far been the biggest problems this season. But an offense that entered Wednesday, April 24 just 19th in MLB scoring has been inconsistent as well.

Alex Bregman's plate skills still look pristine (11% bb%, 87% ct%), and everyone expects him to pull out of his early .555 OPS (through 90 PA) funk. But 37-year-old José Abreu's dreadful 4-for-62 start (no HR, 1 RBI, 3/17 BB/K) has stirred echoes of his 2023 drop-off...
