Jonny DeLuca, who missed the first five weeks of the season after suffering a broken hand during spring training, did not appear to have a clear role with Tampa Bay after being activated from the IL on May 3. With Jose Siri suspended and Josh Lowe finishing up a rehab assignment, DeLuca was able to garner a start in his debut. Even after Siri returned from suspension and Lowe returned from injury, though, DeLuca has remained an everyday fixture in the Rays’ outfield.
