BHQ take: Jose Valverde was given a chance to save the Mets' May 26 game and was released after giving up four earned runs in two-thirds of an inning. He may resurface somewhere, but probably not in a high-leverage role. To replace Valverde, the Mets are turning to Vic Black. After being acquired from Pittsburgh in the summer of 2013, many thought Black would get a shot at being the Mets closer. In 17 innings late in 2013, he had a 2.5 Cmd and a 65 BPV....
